Danielle Rose, OTR

(Occupational Therapist)

I have been an Occupational Therapist for 31 years. My interest in therapy began when I was a teenager while volunteering at Heartland Therapeutic Riding. I was very intrigued by how activity and leisure tasks could be modified to meet such a wide variety of needs and deficits, bringing a level of joy and accomplishment that many never experience. I graduated from KU Med in 1991 with a BS in OT. I have been blessed with an opportunity to work in a large variety of settings including ICU, acute care burn unit, inpatient and outpatient rehab, long term care, school systems and home health. I have been a Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 2005.

Over my varied career, I have discovered my love for seeing my patients as people, their dysfunctions and disabilities as challenges to accept and problem solve. I take great joy in celebrating their successes, both large and small! I joined forces with Devin Winter to create an outpatient therapy clinic where our patients are welcome, cared for and heard. We believe in seeing possibilities and hope where others have given up. We are determined to grow PWR Physio into the creative, energetic and caring clinic that patients want to come to and that therapists want to work in.

When not focused on bringing success and accomplishment to my peers and patients, I adore spending time with my husband and 2 dogs traveling, watching movies, knitting and time with friends and family.
